Here is how to turn off the completely anoying Vista Security feature called UAC.

How To Turn Off UAC:

Click Start, then in the 'Start Search' box, type 'msconfig' and depress the Enter Key.

Click on Start, then click into the Start Search box and
type 'msconfig', as shown below; next press Enter Key

Doing that starts the Vista System Configuration Applet, shown below. 

Be sure to click on the Tools Tab.  

Next, scroll down the Tool Name list and select the 'Disable UAC' Tool, and click the Launch Button to execute the command.

The Windows XP MSCONFIG application in Windows Vista is called System Configuration.

 Select the TOOLS tab, the one on the right, then scroll down the list to find the 'disable UAC option'.

 Click the Launch Button to turn off UAC

You will see a black DOS window open and display a message saying the operation completed.

 X that window closed, then click the OK button to close System Configuration.

Your Done!   Now all the anoying security prompts are gone.  If you start missing them, you can go back to the same place and Launch the Enable UAC option to turn UAC back on.
